Covid-19
All equipment provided by our training schools, and associated training schools will be sanitised daily. We strongly recommend all learners provide their own safety gear where possible (Helmet, Jacket, Gloves etc), and only use our equipment if absolutely necessary.
Some of our training centres won’t have equipment available, so you’ll need to inform us if you don’t have your own gear.
If any you are showing symptoms of corona virus, or have been in contact with someone displaying symptoms, we request that you self-isolate in line with the government guidelines (7-14 days). As such, you may be unable to complete your course. Special allowances will be made for learners in this position, whereby the training course can be rescheduled to a later date, providing you have informed the office and given us adequate notice.
If one of our instructors becomes unwell we may need to reschedule your course. In this instance, the earliest possible date will be offered.
No refunds will be given for courses which are either cancelled, or rescheduled, but alternatives dates will be offered.
If your test is cancelled at short notice by the DVSA, they will offer you a new test date at no extra cost. Equally, if you need to cancel a test at short notice due to Covid19, you will be offered a new test date by the DVSA at no extra cost.
Face coverings will need to be worn whilst ‘face-to-face’ with an examiner. This will include briefings, de-briefings, and for the duration of the Module 1 test (unless proof of a medical condition is provided). We take no responsibility for providing or supplying this information, and it will be up to you to liaise with the DVSA regarding any medical condition you have that may prevent you from wearing a mask.
No facilities will be available at the DVSA test centres (toilets, drink stations, shelter), unless medical proof of either a disability, diabetic or being pregnant is provided by the candidate. Again, this information is to be provided by the candidate, and we are not responsible for providing the information on your behalf.
We will store all customer details for a minimum of 21 days after your final session with us, in case we need to share your information with the NHS ‘Track & Trace’ System.
CBT Terms and Conditions
At any point throughout the CBT course the instructor may stop training and ask the student to return another day. This may be due to a number of reasons. If this is the case the instructor will explain why he/she has chosen to do so and be available to give a full debrief and answer any questions. There will be a charge to return for a second day of training, and any additional training after this. The price of the return training will be at the instructors discretion, but we always try to offer a discount on the normal day-rate.
If you are required to comeback to finish your CBT, this will take place on a week day.
Weekend training is only available if it’s your first attempt at the course, and you are paying the full price. CBT Comeback sessions must also be booked in within 3 months of your initial CBT date.
We require a minimum of 48 hours notice if you wish to reschedule your CBT.
Failure to give us the required notice period may result in you losing your payment.
If you are booked in for training and you do not show up, or you are late for the course, we reserve the right to charge you the full daily rate.
If you attend the CBT course and at any point during the course you remove yourself from it, for any reason, the course will not be repeated, you will not receive a refund, and you be required to pay the full amount again for a new CBT course.
Learning to ride a motorcycle is a skill, and there are risks involved. We operate as a booking agency for various motorcycle training schools, and accept no liability for any dispute or accident that may occur during your training, we will however, act as an intermediary between the school and yourself if required.
Direct Access Terms and Conditions
If you need to cancel or reschedule a Direct Access Course, we require a minimum of 4 weeks notice. Failure to provide us with this notice period may result in you losing your payment. If your tests are cancelled by the DVSA due to unforeseen circumstances, we will still require you to attend your training course. In this instance, we will do our best to find you a cancellation test at short notice.
Whilst we will always endeavor to conduct your training at your local training centre, on occasion we may need to conduct your training at one of our other training centres.
If the weather conditions are adverse, and your motorcycle instructor deems it to be unsafe to ride – they may take the decision not to continue with your training until the weather conditions improve. This decision will only be taken if the instructor feels that the students safety may be in jeopardy. It is at the instructors discretion, to decide whether any missed training due to poor weather, or reasons out of their control, will be conducted at a later date.
Training days will last approximately 6 hours, including breaks. Start / Finish times may vary, and if any training is missed it will usually be added on at some point during the course. If you have any questions regarding your schedule, please don’t hesitate to contact our office on 0121 472 6336.
Refund Policy
Riders operate as a booking Agency on behalf of each of the individual training centres. All course payments and deposits are non-refundable. Should a dispute arise over training or payments, the matter should be discussed directly with the bike instructor that conducted the training, or the site manager for that motorcycle training centre.
Riders cannot be held responsible for any disputes that arise regarding training or course payments.
Intensive Courses
As with all lessons, all prepayments are non refundable for intensive courses. We are basing the requirements of what course is appropriate on the information supplied by the pupil. The instructor reserves the right not to take the pupil to test if the pupil does not reach a satisfactory standard as deemed by the instructor. If you do not reach the required standard on the CBT part of the course, your DAS training may take place on a smaller bike. This will be conducted at the discretion of the DAS instructor.
